Japan’s Ethylene Factory Utilization Rate Reaches 93.8% in September

The Japan Petrochemical Industry Association (JPCA) has announced the production and shipment volumes of major petrochemicals for September 2021. Among these results, the factory utilization rate of ethylene – a basic raw material – was 93.8 percent, marking a 16th consecutive month above the 90 percent mark. A factory utilization rate of above 90 percent is an indicator of a strong economy.
