PTT Group to Manufacture Battery-Related Materials for EVs In-House

Two chemical companies under Thailand’s PTT Group are aggressively eyeing materials related to electric vehicles (EVs). After Global Power Synergy PCL (GPSC) – also a member of the PTT Group – launched operations recently at an LiB plant, last month saw parent company PTT PLC announce plans for an EV plant in Thailand. With the EV business then moving into full swing, fellow group member IRPC PCL has started developing battery components with GPSC, and PTT Global Chemical PCL (PTTGC) too will leverage its technologies for components here as it targets application in a wider range of products.
