Workshop 'Pollenmonitoring-Current Development'

摘要

First, reasons for the need of automatic pollen counting were presented: using automatic pollen counting it will be possible to gather and provide real time information about the current pollen count and to deliver a more valid pollen prognosis for the coming days. Due to this, patients can avoid pollen exposure and an improved management of medication use is possible. Furthermore pollen data are useful for several scientific fields: health science as well as climate science. With this data, it should be possible to study pathomechanisms of sensitizations and allergies in more detail and to optimize medical care. With regard to climate science, the monitoring of plant growth, trend analysis and long- and short-distance transports of pollen, can be addressed.
