Sahrawi business magnate Dahmane Derham ventures into automobile distribution in Rabat

Businessman Dahmane Derham, a former mayor of Tangiers and a key figure in the Derham family clan which plays a major role in the Western Sahara, is about to begin a new career in the automobile business. Derham, who owns the Atlas Sahara service station chain and has fishing and property interests, set up a new company called Holder Car at the end of July. A subsidiary of Derhem Holding, the company's business will be the sale and purchase of new and used cars. Its registered office has been set up in southern Rabat, on the Casablanca road, where most of the main automobile dealers are already established.
