Nufarm issues earnings estimate for fiscal year

Nufarm expects underlying group earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for its fiscal year ended July 31st 2020 to be in the range of Aus$290-300 million (US$214-221 million at the current rate). The estimates are based on preliminary, unaudited accounts. Following the sale of the South American crop protection businesses, underlying EBITDA from continuing operations is expected to be in the range of Aus$230-240 million (US$170-177 million), the company adds. Underlying EBITDA totalled Aus$420 million (US$310 million) in last year’s fiscal year with Latin America its largest business area.
