US EPA proposes more restrictions on paraquat

The US EPA has proposed further restrictions on the herbicide, paraquat, including prohibitions of certain application methods. The measures are necessary to reduce human health and ecological risks identified in the review of the active ingredient, the Agency says. Its proposed interim decision (PID) is open to public comment until December 22nd.
