BASF seeks use approval for GM canola in Australia

BASF has applied to the Australian Ofce of the Gene Technology Regulatory (OGTR) to commercialise genetically modified canola for herbicide tolerance and a hybrid breeding system. The company is seeking approval to commercially grow the GM MS11 canola in all areas of Australia where the crop is planted, and as use in food and feed.
