EU Court blocks challenge to glyphosate renewal

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has thrown out a bid by the city of Brussels, Belgium, to challenge the ?ve-year renewal of the EU approval of the herbicide, glyphosate. It has gone against a recommendation by its Advocate General, Michal Bobek, in July that Brussels be allowed to proceed. Instead, the ECJ has decided that the city’s action for annulment of the renewal is “inadmissible”.
