BASF partners with Boortmalt and SAI for sustainable barley production

BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division has agreed a collaboration with the Belgian malted barley supplier, Boortmalt (Antwerp), to provide its digital sustainability assessment tool, AgBalance, to Boortmalt’s barley growers in Ireland. BASF has also partnered with the food industry NGO Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI Platform) to integrate the latter’s farm sustainability assessment module into AgBalance, which will assist barley growers in verifying the “sustainability contributions” of their agronomic activities.
