MBI to seek approval for new products in the US and Brazil

US biological crop protection business Marrone Bio Innovations (MBI – Davis, California) is looking to register two new products in the US and Brazil. In the US, an application is to be filed to register the bionematicide/bioinsecticide, MBI-306 (Burkholderia rinojensis strain A396). The formulation is intended for the global row and specialty crop markets and is effective against a broad range of insects and nematodes, including corn rootworm (Diabrotica spp) larvae. The company expects the product to fetch peak potential incremental revenue of over $100 million per annum.
