The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has once again dismissed a lawsuit seeking to remove the fungicide, copper compounds, from the EU list of active ingredients that are designated as candidates for substitution. The case was brought by the EU Copper Task Force, comprising companies that supported the ai through the process for renewing EU approvals. The Task Force objected that the designation was maintained when the ai’s approval was renewed in 2018. But the ECJ has rejected its arguments.
