Sumitomo’s health and crop science’s business up 9% in Q2

Sumitomo Chemical’s health and crop science’s division registered a 9.4% increase in revenues to ￥106,361 million ($932.8 million at the current rate) for its second fiscal quarter ended September 30th 2021. The segment’s core operating income for the period rose by some 42% to settle at ￥8,173 million ($71.7 million). However, the division’s share in the company’s consolidated revenues contracted to 15.5% (17.8% in last year’s corresponding quarter).
