Italy grants emergency use to Nufarm insecticide

Italy has granted exceptional use authorisations for Nufarm’s insecticide, Kestrel (acetamiprid). It is registered for use on walnuts, stone fruits and almonds for the control of aphids at 0.25-0.35 ml/ha and spp at 0.5 ml/ha at two treatments per year. It is also approved for the control of brown marmorated stink bugs ( ) on beets at 0.5 ml/ha, aphids at 0.2-0.3 ml/ha and stink bugs at 0.5 ml/ha on sugar beet, as well as against leaf miners, mealy bugs and aphids on horticultural crops.
