FMC first-quarter sales down 4%

FMC recorded a 4.3% decline in agrochemical sales to $1,196 million during the first quarter ended March 31st compared with the corresponding quarter in 2020. A 4% decrease in volumes and 1% fall in prices could not be offset by a positive 1% currency impact. “Our first quarter financial results were largely as anticipated; we delivered revenue at the high end and earnings slightly above the midpoint of our guidance ranges,” says FMC’s president and CEO, Mark Douglas.
