EU finalises opinion on assessing multiple stressors in bees

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published its final scientific opinion on how to conduct environmental risk assessments of pesticides and other factors in honeybees. A draft version was issued for comments in January. It proposes a framework for assessing the combined effects of multiple stressors on bees. The approach would be based on monitoring and modelling strategies that use a network of sentinel hives across the EU.
