German BVL grants one-year extension for 11 glyphosate herbicides

The German federal oice of consumer protection and food safety, the BVL, has granted one-year extensions to 11 glyphosate-based herbicide products. The existing authorisations have been extended until December 15th, 2022 through the EU agrochemical registration Regulation 1107/2009’s Article 43 governing product renewals. The BVL says it has been unable to complete the steps required for a full renewal.
