Hikal’s Q1 crop protection sales up 32%

The crop protection division of Indian company Hikal registered 31.7% rise in sales to Rs 1,830 million ($24.6 million at the current rate) for its first fiscal quarter ended June 30th. Consolidated sales, including those of its pharmaceutical division, increased by 29.5% to settle at Rs 4,570 million ($61.4 million). Crop protection’s share of sales expanded nominally to account for 40% (39.4% during last year’s corresponding period) of the company’s consolidated quarterly revenues.
