Syngenta crop protection sales up 20% in first half

The Syngenta Group subsidiary, Syngenta Crop Protection, recorded an increase of 20.4% in crop protection sales to $6,642 million in the first half of 2021 compared with the same period during last year. Syngenta has added a new biologicals operating segment to its reporting to reflect the acquisition of Italian biostimulants and specialty nutrients company Valagro in 2020. With the addition, the global crop protection segment consists of three heads: crop core; professional solutions; and biologicals.
