BASF has agreed a deal with US agricultural biotechnology company AgBiome (Research Triangle Park, North Carolina) to introduce the latter’s biofungicide, Howler (Pseudomonas chlororaphis strain AFS009), in “key” Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) countries. The partnership will make BASF the exclusive distributor of Howler in the region, while allowing it to help AgBiome in further development and registration of the product. The companies expect to offer it in selected countries during 2024-25.
