Just over 18 months ago the New Zealand Police introduced its Speak Up programme designed to give its 12,000 employers another mechanism for raising issues of concern to them. These issues may be something that doesn't reach the threshold required by the Protected Disclosures Act and in that short time 120 cases have been reported to them which national manager of employment relations, Jenny Williams, says has amazed them.
