Supply and demand on the German recovered paper market in March are more or less balanced overall. Collection volumes are back to normal, according to the majority of EUWID respondents, and were only reported to be weak in isolated cases. Market participants agree that inland demand is healthy."We are selling everything that comes in", a merchant reports. On the one hand, manufacturers of packaging paper are currently posting good operating rates while orders from customers in the graphic paper segment have also improved. On the other hand, converters have already start- ed restocking ahead of the Easter holidays in April. Some paper mills are said to have already built up a sizeable buffer of recovered paper, reports say.
