Gardening in a changing climate

OUR INTENTION in this article is to present climate science in a manner relevant to gardeners. We will examine how climate change is affecting our weather. However, we recognize that it is quite difficult to do this in relation to the UK - not only isour climate variable, but it also varies over the whole country. The south-west of the UK is known for its relative mildness whereas the Highlands of Scotland are much colder. Gardeners in the west are often blessed with an abundanceof rain while those on the east are more likely to suffer from drought. So, how will the threat of global climate change affect us gardeners.
