Dasylirion and Nolona in cultivation

IT IS OFTEN hard to explain the appeal of certain plants but Dasylirion and Nolina are two of my favourite genera. Over the past decade or so I have been fortunate enough to make many field trips to Mexico and, when seen in the wild, they always capture my attention. But not only in habitat: selected species of both would make it on to my shortlist of top 10 garden plants.
