US EPA issues notice seeking suspension of Amvac's DCPA

The US EPA has issued a notice of intent to suspend(NOITS)the sale,distribution and use of the herbicide,dimethyl tetrachloroterephthalate(DCPA),citing non-submission of data that were required to be submitted nine years ago by its registrant.The active ingredient is registered to US company American Vanguard's subsidiary Amvac Chemical(Newport Beach,California).The suspension is to become final after 30 days of the notice being published in the country's official gazette,the Federal Register.
