Biotalys obtains new fungicide resistance class for Evoca

Belgian biologicals company Biotalys(Ghent)has been granted a new fungicide resistance class for the active ingredient of its first protein-based biofungicide,Evoca,by CropLife International's Fungicide Resistance Action Committee(FRAC).The ai,a polypeptide codenamed ASFBIOF01-02,has earned the new classification after"in-depth"scientific evidence supported its features as a novel mode of action,says Biotalys.Evoca is expected to obtain regulatory approval by the US EPA later this year.
