Kenya publishes gene editing guidelines

Kenya’s biosafety regulator, the National Biosafety Authority (NBA), has published national guidelines on gene editing as part of the development of a biotechnology regulatory framework. The development makes Kenya the second African nation to publish such guidelines after Nigeria did so in February, according to the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-Biotech Applications (ISAAA).
