India OKs drone-based spraying of Syngenta’s Amistar Top

Syngenta subsidiary Syngenta India has received clearance from the country’s Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee (CIB&RC) to spray its fungicide, Amistar Top (azoxystrobin + difenoconazole), on paddy using drones, report national media. The development follows the submission of safety and bio-eicacy data related to the exercise. Amistar Top is intended for the control of rice blast (Magnaporthe grisea) and sheath blight (Rhizoctonia solani).
