German govt Ministers seek greater organic crop adoption and CAP cuts

The Environment and Agriculture Ministers of the new German government have called for greater adoption of organic agriculture and the end of direct subsidies for agriculture through the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), national media report. Environment Minister Stei Lemke and Agriculture Minister Cem Ozdemir made the call at a joint press conference last week. Both come from environmentalist party, the Greens.
