Europe review 2021: Trying to make sense of Farm to Fork strategy

The EU’s Farm to Fork strategy has occupied centre stage for the crop protection industry ever since it was unveiled in 2020. The strategy set targets for achieving more sustainable agriculture systems by 2030, including halving the “overall use and risk” of chemical pesticides, and in the use of more hazardous pesticides. But not much headway was made in 2021 towards laying out a clear path to achieve those targets.
