Brazil’s Chamber of Deputies OKs bill to change agchem approval system

The Brazilian lower house of Parliament has approved proposals that would amend registering agrochemicals in the country, the Chamber of Deputies’ news service, Camara Noticias, reports. The bill was introduced by Luiz Nishimori MP and has the backing of the government. The President issued a decree last year in support of the proposals. Decree No 10.833 would replace Decree 4.074 of 2002 that regulates Law 7802 of 1989, altering rules on research, registration, use, import and export of agrochemicals.
