Brazilian Senate postpones agchem bill vote until later this year

The Brazilian Senate's agriculture select committee, the CRA, has postponed the process for progressing with a bill that would amend the country's agrochemical law until later this year. The proposed legislation, which has been stuck in Parliament for two decades under different draft bills, has returned as bill PL 1459/2022. A similar bill reached the Senate in 1999 as PLS 526/1999, but controversy led to hold ups in Parliament.
