US EPA posts application to register Syngenta’s new insecticidal ai

The US EPA has notified the receipt of an application from Syngenta Crop Protection to register the insecticidal active ingredient, isocycloseram (trade-marked as Plinazolin), in the country. The ai is intended for use on various field and greenhouse food crops, besides application on non-food crops grown in these settings. Furthermore, the application seeks registration of the ai for use as a seed treatment on a broad range of cereal and other food crops, alongside commercial, industrial, and domestic uses for non-food purposes.
