Cost-effective yield stress test for quality control

摘要

The yield stress of a product that is solid at rest refers to the stress which must be applied in order to make the product flow.Measurement of yield stress is important in ensuring the quality of various products including food,pharmaceuticals and paints.This article describes a yield rheometer that utilises vane spindles for measuring yield stress.The advantages of this technology are discussed.
