Chemical engineering and chemical engineers continue to be important contributors to the economic and social wealth of any developed or developing country.Chemical engineers have traditionally utilized their skills to transfer advances in chemistry from the laboratory bench to plant scale production.This continues to be the very core of the subject and much remains to be done at both a fundamental and an applied research level.
