Recently a new technical scale free flow zone electropho-resis cell was proposed [1], which is intended for the separation of mainly biological substances like proteins, amino acids or even enzymes. To improve flow stability, the cell is shaped like a thin channel. However, in contrast to previous approaches, the smallest dimension (channel height "d", Fig, 1) is parallel to the electrical field.
