摘要

Throughout 2007 my editorial messages have largely focused on communicating the current status and future direction for the journal. In this piece I will summarize our performance in 2007 and our plans for the coming year.Early on, we outlined the immediate changes to the Journal.These changes included our decisions to publish weekly and to concentrate our advertisements in the front matter of the Journal paired with abstracts from recent issues to provide approximately 90 pages of uninterrupted editorial material in the print journal. We adopted a new design focusing, in part, on a more reader-friendly presentation of illustrations and began publishing an increasing amount of supplemental material online
