摘要

A new locus controlling zein production, designated Zp3, was identified by acid PAGE of F2 hybrids obtained in 4 crosses. Polypeptides encoded by Zp3 were found in all inbred lines studied, and an allele series of Zp3 was identified. Zp3 was inherited independently of Zp1 but was linked with Zp2. The recombination frequency between Zp2 and Zp3 varied from 22 to 27% in different lines.
