Japan increases steel exports in October, sentiments negative

Japanese suppliers enhanced export shipments of all main steel products in October amid weaker demand in thedomestic market due to natural disasters.Ordinary steel export from Japan amounted to almost 2 million t in October, adding 5.7% year-on-year, according tothe statistics from Japan Iron and Steel Federation. The figure rose by 16.2% in a monthly comparison, as naturaldisasters in September led to weaker local demand in Japan, Metal Expert learnt. In particular, HRC export reached863,166 t, up by 3% and 20% compared to the previous year and month respectively. Meanwhile, CRC and HDGshipments went up by 33.8% and 2.8% y-o-y, respectively.
