Iran’s square billet producers are trying to estimate the prospects of local supplies after the recent government’sregulation, but some of them are still trying to keep overseas presence. In particular, Khouzestan Steel Company(KSC) has recently opened an export tender for September shipments, aiming to get almost same prices as in theprevious round. However, some buyers may push for discounts amid downward sentiment in the global billet marketand awaited US sanctions.
