Presence of unexpected phylogenetic lineages of brown trout Salmo trutta L. in Gacka River, Croatia.

摘要

This article presents the results of the first analysis of the mitochondrial DNA control region variation in brown trout from the Gacka River in Croatia, their phylogenetic lineage association and explains the possible origin of the phylogenetic Danubian and AT haplotypes in the river. These results will be of importance for the adequate management and conservation strategy of natural brown trout populations.
