UV Devices Provide Airborne Microbial Control for Wineries

摘要

Two new devices that use ultraviolet (UV) light, but with slightly different technologies and applications, are now being used at several wineries to reduce airborne microbial contaminants in wine production and storage facilities. In addition to preventing product quality control problems and potential wine product losses, reducing airborne contamination also improves indoor air quality (IAQ) to enhance employee health and workplace productivity. It can also prevent contamination of equipment, cooperage, and storage facilities to potentially reduce sanitation and cleaning costs and labor.
