Software programs available from Integrated Winery Solutions (IWS) are being used regularly at a number of California wineries to calculate the need for, and quantity of, acid adjustments during winemak-ing, and to predict wine filterability and filtration performance before bottling. Called ACID and FILTER, these programs were designed by wine-maker/enologist Kelly Wheat, IWS owner and salesperson.
