摘要

Microdochium nivale (Fr.) Samuels & I. C. Hallet, the causal agent of Microdochium patch (Syn. pink snow mold), can infect bentgrass species (Agrostis sp.) in cool weather environments with high humidity (4). Microdochium patch does not require incubation under prolonged periods of snow cover, but the freeze/thaw cycle of snow cover coupled with overcast conditions increases humidity in the plant canopy resulting in greater leaf-to-leaf dissemination (4). Mechanical transport of infected tissue or conidia by mowers, rollers, or foot traffic may contribute to further infection of surrounding plants (4).
