摘要

We synthetized silver nanoparticles with Juglans rejia resin aqueous extract. The effect of different concentrations of silver nitrate and resin for production of nanoparticles was detected by spectrophotometery at max of 482 nm. Particles were monitored by emission scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. By electron scan imaging we found hexagonal shaped nanoparticles 25-35 nm suggesting reduction of silver ions by resin extract. By X-ray diffraction we found sharp Bragg peaks of elemental silver at 2 diffraction peaks at 38.1 , 44.2 , 64.4 and 77.4 in 2θ, matching Joint Committee on Powder Diffraction standard 040783. By disc diffusion, we determined effect of J. rejia resin, nanoparticles with resin and empty particle controls on bacteria. Particles with resin mildly inhibited E. coli, P. aeruginosa and S. aureus but not B. subtilis whereas J. rejia resin did not elicit any inhibition.
