Personal taxes for executives in South Africa are relatively high by international standards, but recent budgets have made fairly significant reductions to the applicable rates. The tax base will probably keep expanding without further pressure on individuals. South Africa has recently improved tax collection by reforming administrative processes at the South African Revenue Service and by modernising collection systems.
