Central authorities issue order to comb new project

In view of still rapidly growing fixed-asset investment, the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), Ministry of Land and Resource. State Environmental Protection Administration, State Administration of Work Safety and China Bank Regulatory Commission on August 1 jointly issued circular "Guideline on Combing New Project" requiring local authorities to do trimming work on new ongoing projects. Steel, primary aluminum, calcium carbide, coke, auto, cement, electric power, text industries are the focus of the trimming work.
