Qinghai Saishitang Cu mine to expand capacity

Development plan has been outlined to lift production capacity of Saishitang Copper Mine at Xinghai county, Hainan prefecture, Qinghai province, in the Eleventh Five Year Plan Period(2006-2010), source close to the situation said. The mine is owned by the Western Mining Co., Ltd.(headquartered at Xining city of Qinghai province). Construction of the mine began in 2000. The mine started exploitation of copper ores in August 2003. In 2005, the mine exploited around 200,000 tonnes of copper ores.
