Analysis on domestic steel consumption in 2005 and forecast in 2006

China's steel industry developed in complex situation in 2005, and there are five characters for domestic steel production and consumption. At first, domestic steel output continued to increase in high speed, and steel demand was still buoyant. China's crude steel output reached 349 million tons and steel-making capacity reached 470 million tons in 2005. Domestic' apparent steel consumption would reach 371 million tons in 2005 (repeated accounting of finished steel products and market inventory was taken into account here), increased by 59.08 million tons compared with 2004.
