Jisco's flat steel projects approved

China's Jiuquan Iron & Steel (Jisco) has received government approval for a new 2 million tpy carbon steel hot rolling project and a 530.000 tpy line to produce crude steel for its stainless production. The total investment for the two projects comes to 11 billion yuan (1.4 billion dollars), and is a keyboard of the company's aim to increase production of lat products and become Chinas third integrated stainless producer. The company is in talks with four overseas Machinery suppliers for hot rolling facilities, and may add cold rolling and hot-dipped galvanizing facilities at a later stage.
