Chinalco outlines development plan on Al semis business

Mr. Ding Haiyan, assistant to general manager of Aluminum Corporation of China(Chinalco), president of Southwest Aluminum (Group) Co., Ltd(SWA) and Chinalco(Ruimin) Aluminum Sheet & Strip Co., Ltd. recently revealed Chinalco's aspiration on development in aluminum semis business. 1. To develop aluminum semis operation by leaps and bounds, establish and integrate its global sales network, improve the ability of the state's research and development center on aluminum fabrication(at SWA), develop new-type aluminum-related products and explore new application area for aluminum products, strengthen merging and acquiring and increase investment, in a bid to make a leap in terms of production technology, product quality, output, and become production base of high-quality aluminum sheet, strip and foil, supply base of raw materials used in military industry and export base of aluminum semis.
